PAIN INTO POWER: Helpline for adult survivors of child sexual abuse
A former police detective, known as the whistleblower for exposing child sexual abuse in Rochdale nearly a decade ago, is now launching a dedicated helpline for adult survivors. Maggie Oliver quit Greater Manchester Police in order to expose the notorious Rochdale Grooming Scandal, she then went on to set up a Foundation in her name.
After setting up The Maggie Oliver Foundation in a mission to help adult survivors of child sexual exploitation, Maggie along with her army of volunteers has launched a dedicated helpline in the hope to encourage more victims to come forward.
The charity has already helped more than 2,000 adult survivors of child sexual abuse in the past 12 months alone.
