£600k of new funding to help Trafford bounce back from covid
Trafford businesses can get a share of a new £600,000 grant funding to help the area bounce back from the impact of Covid-19.
Groups can apply for anything from £5,000 to £100,000 from housing firm Trafford Housing Trust, as long as their activities do one of the following things:
- Help children and young people to get the skills, knowledge and attitude to thrive
- Support residents to live independently by ensuring they get the most from and maximise their incomes
- Help residents to becoming more resilient to changes in personal circumstances
- Help people to feel more connected with their local community by providing local amenities and cultural and social opportunities
Medium recovery grants can provide organisations with between £5,000 and £25,000 funding, while large grants can provide between £25,000 and £100,000.
Larry Gold, chief executive at Trafford Housing Trust, said: “We will all have seen this week the huge increase in covid cases in Trafford and now, more than ever, residents need help and support to get through another challenging period.
“This is a great opportunity for local organisations to galvanise their local knowledge and collective expertise, and design projects that best respond to the needs of our communities.”

Applications for large grants close on November 4 2021 and November 29 2021 for medium grants.
